Duvon™ delivered hillside-sensitive court lighting calibrated to a 0.07-fc perimeter spill for a community where every stray lumen is scrutinised.
Belvedere is a hillside community where exterior lighting is tightly regulated, and the existing court luminaires had been flagged as a recurring nuisance. We were brought in to deliver competition-grade illumination without raising spill light at the surrounding residences below the courts.
The specification centres on Freedom 500W fixtures (70 CRI) with house-side shielding and a rotated optical pattern tailored to the court orientation. Each pole was re-aimed using a tablet-based inclinometer calibrated to the project's IES file, ensuring the modelled distribution matched what we delivered on site.
The result is a 50-fc average maintained illuminance with 1.3:1 uniformity, sharp shadow rendition for spin recognition, and verified spill of less than 0.05 fc at the perimeter fence on the downhill side. Members regained reliable evening play and the club avoided a planning-level dispute.
