Duvon™ replaced legacy metal-halide with parish-acceptable Freedom 500W LED — curfew-dim controls, sub-0.05-fc village spill, and a planning consent that cleared without conditions.
Horsmonden sits in a designated rural-character village where any new outdoor lighting falls under strict planning conditions. The previous 1500W metal-halide installation had been a recurring topic at parish council meetings before the club approached us.
Duvon supplied Freedom 500W luminaires on the existing pole grid, with project-specific upper baffles to take the apparent brightness as low as practically possible from the village footpath. The control system supports a 22:00 curfew dim to 30% output for the final wind-down hour, then a hard cut-off — both required by the planning consent.
The completed install holds 50-fc maintained average with 1.25:1 uniformity, and parish complaints have dropped to zero across two reporting cycles.
