Duvon™ delivered a marine-grade pro-court retrofit engineered for coastal salt-air durability and tournament-grade visibility on the existing pole infrastructure.
The Newport Beach courts sit close enough to the coast that any fixture specification has to factor in salt-air corrosion. The previous metal-halide heads had failed prematurely, with housings pitted and gaskets degraded inside five years of service.
Duvon supplied Freedom Series luminaires in a marine-grade housing with 316 stainless hardware and a salt-spray-validated powder coat, mounted on the existing pole infrastructure with corrosion-isolating bushings. The asymmetric optical assembly was rotated to favour the ocean-side fence to avoid offshore glare, a detail flagged during the site survey.
Members play under 50-fc maintained light with 1.2:1 uniformity. Pro-shop staff confirm the new system has eliminated mid-evening flicker and the previous 8-minute restart after a brief power blip.
